VETERINARIAN INSULTS HIS PATIENT

When Callie, my Jack Russell Terrier, received her copy of Healthy Pet from her veterinarian this month, she was highly offended. She refused to read it despite the hunky Joe Manganiello on the cover with his Yorkie named Hercules.

We have some news for you, Callie!
Receive 10% OFF your senior wellness exam.

“Senior,” she huffed. “I’ve never been so insulted.”

I really hope she’ll continue to go to her current veterinarian/animal hospital. Her doctor is the best in the state, and she’s always received such wonderful care. Don’t they realize that dogs have feelings too? Or does it have something to do with the fact that I’m getting older right along with Callie? Hmmmm. Comments, please.

Cindy, our cockatail recently turned 16, when we took him in to the vet for a trim (nails, beaks) the vet noticed that he had a lot of white feathers through out his back and chuckled at him. He said looks like the old boy 'el be white before too long, age is catching up with him. I know that's why Spike squawked all the way home. Oh Yeah, they know.

Now that you mention it, it reminds me of recieving an invitation to join the AARP. At least, Callie is a very young senior.

Callie should be more disgusted by a Yorkie being called "Hercules." Had a boxer growl at a vet once who called him "fat." Animals are smarter than we give them credit for!

Callie, we should all be proud of our age and thrilled to get a discount for it too.

Great photo Cindy, thanx for sharing.
