Sweet Authors Blog Hop

I've tried to spread the word to tell everyone what my books are about:

I write sweet romance with humor, suspense...and dogs!
My books are suitable for YA and up, men and women.
Here's a more detailed description:

  • clean read with no bedroom scenes or offensive language.
  • A tantalizing, fast-paced plot.
  • Down-to-earth heroes and heroines with everyday jobs.
  • A rollercoaster ride of emotions you face right along with the characters.
  • special dog to steal your heart.
  • A few added facts, a good message, and that important happily-ever-after ending.

Sweet pretty much says it all, though, and I'm very proud to be with the Sweet Cravings division at Secret Cravings Publishing.  We have some fabulous authors.  Make sure you check out their blogs by clicking on the Sweet Cravings Hop link at the bottom.

Meanwhile, I'd like to share my latest release with you:
Legacy of Lies

Storyline: Katelynn swore she would never return to the small mining town of Comstock, Utah where she’d grown up. Only bad memories remain there of her estranged father, the gossipy townsfolk, and her teen sweetheart Walt Jeffries who broke her heart. But after receiving a letter from her father, she grudgingly returns only to find he died over a year ago and the past may not be all she’s been told.

Walt Jeffries is trying to bring new business to his dying town when Kate returns.  Her digging up the past may risk everything he’s working toward.  As Kate determinedly delves into the past, Walt finds himself between a rock and a hard place concerning his feeling for her and his duty to the town.  Can the two learn their real legacies, save Walt’s Rottweiler, Festus, and avoid getting killed themselves?  Will the truth set them free to fall in love?

Before my dad passed away, he was set on adopting a Rottweiler. That's why I featured one in this book. Sweet Romance, Humor, Suspense...and Dogs!
Fly into a good book at:

  1. I'm fond of all dogs, but mostly the big ones. Weimaraners are probably my favorites, followed by English setters. Irish setters, too.

  2. I love the blurb to your book and it's going on my wish list. As for my favourite dog(s) I love Labradors for their fun and loyalty, and Yorkies (Yorkshire terries) for the sense of humour and mischief. They ore little dogs that think they are St Bernards.

  3. Christina, Thanks for commenting. It's definitely hard to pick just one. :)

  4. Sherry, Thanks for putting Legacy of Lies on your wish list. Did you know that Labradors are the most popular dog in the U.S.? I wrote about a yellow Lab in Braving the Blaze. They are awesome. As for Yorkies, I love what you said about them thinking they are St. Bernards. Have to use that in a book. :)

  5. My current dog is an aggressively affectionate boxer mix, before that a sweet lab, before that a husky. I love collies and German shepherds and terriers. It's like trying to choose a favorite child, but my most beloved dog was my childhood companion, an abandoned mutt who was probably mostly border collie.

My books all have dogs as major characters, too. What's life without a dog?

  6. I would have a hard time choosing between the English Bulldog and the Bull Terriers...

  7. The blurb sounds interesting. I love both collies and border collies

  8. Beth, What a great statement: "It's like trying to choose a favorite child." I totally agree. Thanks for posting.

  9. Chynarey, I'm very partial to the terrier line. Thanks for stopping by and posting.

  10. Linday, I wrote about a Collie in Hazardous Hideaway. They are so beautiful and regal animals. Thanks for commenting.

  11. I have two rescue dogs living in my home. A chocolate lab and a dachshund lab mix. Sounds like a great story.

  12. Jeanine, The Lab in your photo is gorgeous! Those who rescue animals are the best. You're awesome. Thanks for commenting.

  13. Cindy,
I love the dog on the cover. My husband tells me I would buy wine if there was a dog on the bottle. Do you know any wine like that?

Sweet romances are also books you can give your mother<3

  14. I'm the same way, Morgan. Dogs always grab my attention. I'm not a wine drinker but there are a number of wines with dogs on the label:
Chardonnay Unleashed by Mutt Lynch Winery, Red Rover Merlot, The Black Dog Cabernet Sauvignon, The Barking Dog Vineyard and Winston Cellars just to name a few. (lol)

And, yes, sweet romance is a book you could give to your mother, father or young teen. At least mine are. Thanks for stopping by.

  15. Great excerpt! My family is currently looking into purchasing a pug.

    Tricia Andersen

  16. Tricia, Pugs are wonderful and cute. Consider adopting from an animal shelter. They do have purebreds there too. Thanks for posting.

  17. Chynarey is the winner of my blog hop. She won a $5.00 egift card to SCP. Congrats!

I love hearing from you! Thanks for commenting.
