All Genre Back List Blog Hop

Just because a book was released a couple of years ago, doesn't mean it's not new to you!

We at Secret Cravings are celebrating awesome books that were released before 2012. I have three 4.5 to 5 star books for you to enjoy. I write sweet (clean) romance with humor, suspense...and dogs! All three of these make great, fun summer reads. You can purchase from any retailer, but if you purchase directly from Ssecret Cravings, I can donate more to help abused and abandoned dogs. And our publisher has many different ereader formats.

How would you like one of my ebooks for FREE? Just leave a comment telling me your favorite bred of dog, and I will randomly select 2 winners at the end of the hop. Make sure you leave your email so I can contact you.

Storyline: All portrait artist Lizzie Cantrell wanted was a change in careers to avoid consoling bereaved families and dealing with death. She didn’t know she’d end up stealing a dead body and a casket full of heroin and running from the drug cartel. She also didn't know she’d end up on the 6 o’clock news wanted for grand theft auto, robbery and assault on a police officer. And to top it off, she must deal with her sister's Chinese Crested, stowaway dog and a stiff-necked funeral director to boot.

Buried away as a funeral director for the past two years because of an accident that left him scarred, Phillip Van Dyke finds himself in a grave situation involving a military drug smuggling operation. Worse yet, his accomplice is a beautiful portrait artist who’s managing to exhume the remains of his deceased heart.

Storyline: Who said it would be easy for Tatum to leave her over-protective father, buy a 1911 bungalow, and start her own business at the same time? When things fall apart, literally, she hires a hunky home restoration specialist named Ryan to come to her rescue. She never dreamed he’d have his own ideas about protecting her...namely sabotaging her dates.

Storyline: Single-minded Dean Harward is going to become a veterinarian if it kills him. He’s worked summers as a volunteer wildfire fighter to earn big cash for college. Just his luck, a pyrophobic woman gets assigned to his team. He’s certain she’ll get him killed before he can graduate. Ginger Warby is a walking firestorm as accidents continually spark around her. Or are they accidents? Can Dean keep the flames of desire he reluctantly feels for her under control long enough to keep them and his Yellow Labrador alive?

  1. I don't have a specific breed of dog I'm partial to. I like most dogs. I would have to say my fav dog was my late dog, Bear. Don't let the name fool you. That was the name he came with. Bear was a Pom-poodle. Because of the breed, he didn't shed so we had to clip his hair. He would wear T-1 polo shirts until the hair grew in. Sadly, he died 2 days after seeing my mom taken away in an ambulance for the second time. I think it was from a broken heart. I miss them both.

  2. Sad, Cindy. It is amazing how much they get attached to us like we do them. I thought dog's with broken hearts only happened in books and movies (Where the Red Fern Grows, Gray friar's Bobby), but watching Sprite grieve, refuse to eat, and lose weight after our other dog, Callie, died, I realize their love really does run very deep.

    We never stop missing them.

  3. I love so many dogs and really don't care about breed...though I DO have a favorite. I am an avid Yorkie lover. I would have a house full of Yorkie if I could. michelle_willms at yahoo dot com

  4. Michelle, Yorkie's are adorable. I didn't think I wanted a small dog, but after our Callie died we rescued a Tibetan terrier mix that is only 8 pounds. She's so little and sweet.

  7. I love black labs:) I am a dog lover, and will pet any friendly dog I encounter, but my heart belongs to the friendly labrador. Even though I currently own a Pit Bull, German-Rott-Bull-Chow mix, and a black cocker spaniel.

  10. Thanks for all the great responses! It's hard to choose only one breed. I didn't go out looking for a Tibetan terrier, but I'm sure in love with the one we just rescued. I'd never been around poodles and thought somehow they were more prissy like a cat. In doing research for my latest book, Fortune for Fools, I found out they are all dog! lol
I will randomly choose 2 winners at the end of the day. Thanks.

  15. Hi Cindy,

My favorite dog is my own who is a boxer and who knows what. :)

Love all the dogs in your books and on your covers too.

  16. I love all dogs. I've had everything from a poodle to a Great Dane. I currently have 2 labs and Pomeranian.
I guess my all time favorites are Labs, they are so sweet and loyal and good with children. My grandson was trying to ride Dante today and got a face full of licks for his trouble.
